Dornoch is the county town of Sutherland. It is a historic and charming town with many attractions, as well as being conveniently located for exploring the surrounding area and NC500.
The town has numerous shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops, all within a few minutes walk of Dornoch Mews. In addition the world-famous Royal Dornoch Golf Club, Links House and the award-winning beach are also within a few minutes walk.

Close to Dornoch is the Loch Fleet National Nature Reserve (pictured left). At low tide seals can often be seen on the sandbanks, and the reserve is a haven for all sorts of other wildlife, particularly birds.
Dornoch is just two miles from the A9 and the famous NC500 route. Head 10 miles north to Golspie for another spectacular beach, numerous scenic walks, and Dunrobin Castle.
